EquipmentShare, a construction-technology and equipment-rental company, recently opened its new branch in Richmond Hill, Georgia.

The company’s $185 million investment in Georgia is expected to create up to 148 new jobs and bring its total footprint in the state to 14 locations. State and local officials joined EquipmentShare leadership for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new 161 Thunderbird Drive facility.

“Georgia is building at an incredible pace, from the Port of Savannah and the I-16/I-95 corridor to new manufacturing, energy and data center projects,” says Jabbok Schlacks, co-founder and CEO of EquipmentShare. “By expanding here, we are putting our T3 platform and a modern, well-maintained fleet within reach of more contractors, helping them work safer, reduce downtime and deliver on schedule across the Peach State.”

Held at EquipmentShare’s new Core Solutions facility in the Savannah area, the ceremony featured remarks from the Georgia Department of Economic Development and EquipmentShare leadership.

“EquipmentShare supports business growth and job opportunities across the state during a critical time in Georgia’s industrial development,” says Misti Martin, deputy commissioner of Global Commerce, Georgia Department of Economic Development. “We are excited that EquipmentShare will continue to expand its locations, services, and philanthropic support in Georgia’s communities. Congratulations to Richmond Hill and EquipmentShare on today’s milestone.”

The five new Georgia locations will deliver a full suite of solutions. Every asset connects through the proprietary T3 platform for real-time visibility and utilization insights, backed by on-site support to keep projects safe and on schedule. The company's offerings include:

  • Core Solutions: For day-to-day work, including modern earthmoving, aerial, compaction, and material-handling equipment.
  • Advanced Solutions: For complex projects, providing engineered pump, power, and climate-control packages, as well as storm response support.
  • Tooling Solutions: For specialized needs, supplying calibrated torque, welding tools, and industrial supplies for mechanical, electrical, and industrial crews.

With more than 348 locations nationwide and plans to reach over 700 in the next few years, the new Georgia sites advance EquipmentShare’s long-term growth strategy.

“Savannah is a hub for big, complex work, and our team is ready to support it,” says Brian Bacon, general manager of EquipmentShare’s Savannah branch. “Whether it is expansions, coastal resilience projects, industrial needs or disaster response, we bring T3 visibility, rapid on-site service and the right mix of Core, Advanced and Tooling Solutions to keep Georgia jobsites moving.”

The company will allocate $2,500 in revenue annually from each of its Georgia locations to support local nonprofits. During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the company announced that a portion of the Savannah funding will be donated to Exchange Club of Richmond Hill, a nonprofit dedicated to working together to empower individual impact and increase awareness around child abuse.

“I was honored and humbled to receive the news that EquipmentShare selected us as a partner," says Chris Raiford, the president of the Exchange Club of Richmond. "Our organization focuses on local children’s needs, and this donation will directly impact local Student of the Month initiatives as well as an annual Exchange Club Scholarship to a local high school senior. We truly thank EquipmentShare for being a great local partner."
