EZ-FLO Fertilizing Systems Teams Up with MegaGreen

Through the alliance, the companies can offer a 100-percent OMRI Certified Organic fertilizer program

EZ-FLO Fertilizing Systems announced its affiliation with Hydrolysate Company of America (HCA), the producer of the MegaGreen and MultiBloom organic fertilizer lines for use in landscape fertilizing. EZ-FLO is a manufacturer of precision dispensing systems that attach to irrigation or water piping systems to accurately dispense fertilizers and supplements to commercial, municipal and residential landscapes.

Alliance Partners are selected based on the effectiveness of their product solutions and their compatibility with EZ-FLO’s patented micro-dosing delivery capabilities. HCA processes MegaGreen and MultiBloom fertilizers from catfish that are raised under strict dietary standards in highly-controlled, freshwater ponds.

Unlike other fish based fertilizers, these freshwater catfish have not been exposed to mercury and other heavy metals and do not contain salts. HCA uses a proprietary enzyme processing technique to breakdown the catfish into complex amino acids within 30-45 minutes from the time the fish is processed.

“Our products are not like other fish emulsions and do not have an offensive odor to them because the source is so fresh and our process is so thorough,” says Jack Perkins, VP sales and marketing of Country Select and HCA. “Because we are growing catfish for food production, we rigorously control how they are fed which ensures a stable source of quality and consistency required by consumers.”

Unlike fish emulsion producers that use fish remains that’s processed under high heat, HCA’s use of enzymes to breakdown fresh fish into complex amino acids ensures a rich, end product. Because HCA uses a cold method process, the resulting fertilizer contains more than 17 percent complex amino acids which are a principal source of organic nitrogen. That process also maintains the integrity of the trace elements present in the source.

“We are very excited to be able to offer a concentrated organic fertilizer that has similar performance characteristics to synthetics or chemical fertilizers,” says Tom Patton, EZ-FLO’s president and CEO. “Having 100-percent OMRI certified organic products that work well on almost every landscape and is safe for family and pets is something that our customers have been requesting for some time.”

EZ-FLO’s Alliance Partner Program recognizes that there is no one product that can meet all customer’s landscape requirements. Customers are not locked into proprietary formulations required by other injector manufacturers. This freedom of choice allows customers greater flexibility while keeping costs down.
