MUNNSVILLE, N.Y. – Ferris Industries put the final touches on its $4 million factory expansion, opening the doors to its new facility by completing the final touch: a new employee entrance. The expanded facility will have production capabilities that allow the company to manufacture more than 20,000 mowers each year, with room to grow, and it will employ 225-plus people.
Now, 12 months and 52,000 square feet after breaking ground, Ferris is celebrating its grand opening. The company hosted a ribbon-cutting event with local community supporters such as William Magee, Madison County, Empire State Development Corp., who assisted with funding for the project. Chariman Rocky DiVeronica of the Madison County Board of Supervisors and Ferris President Phil Wenzel also addressed the crowd, thanking community leaders and residents for their support during construction.
