Nashville, Tenn.-based Second Nature Lawn Care’s lawn care manager does two field inspections per week using a GPS system to locate crews, and a field inspection report (see below) is used to score various tasks, such as truck safety, attire, application pattern and door hanger placement. “For instance,” says Co-owner Steve White, “in the morning when the production manager is checking their trucks, he’ll make sure they remembered all of their tools, and he keeps tabs on how many times he has to remind a technician to keep certain tools, such as a soil probe, on his truck, and notes that on these reports.”
