When the owners of Earthscapes got the call Tuesday night, they rushed to their shop, but there was nothing they could do. Chris Meyers and Shane Freeborn say fire destroyed their shop building and just about everything inside.
Right now the top priority is restoring their water supply by mid-April.
At Earthscapes, they grow thousands of perennials, shrubs and ornamental trees every year at this site south of Brandon, and the fire destroyed the power source to their well.
The cause of the fire hasn’t been determined yet. The owners are working with their insurance company to eventually replace what was lost.
