Strategies for identifying turfgrass diseases will be part of Dr. Ken Hutto’s upcoming Aug. 12 webinar, “Turfgrass Disease Management.” The free one-hour webinar, part of the 1st Friday series from FMC Corporation offers lawn care professionals the chance to earn free CEU credits in select states. Dr. Hutto is FMC’s product development manager of Herbicides and Fungicides.

In Dr. Hutto’s webinar, basic information about turfgrass disease management specific to lawn care will be discussed. The webinar will cover basic identification strategies, environmental conditions favoring disease development as well as cultural management and chemical control strategies.
The FMC 1st Friday program provides monthly lawn care and pest-related webinars, with CEU credits typically offered in 20-30 states. In June and July webinars focused on formulation techniques, and education surrounding pesticide labels and equipment calibration.
