FNGA and PlantFind.com Sign Alliance Agreement

The strategic marketing alliance between FNGA and PlantFind.com allows each to extend their services to more audiences within the nursery and landscape industry.

ORLANDO/BOYNTON BEACH - Florida Nurserymen & Growers Association (FNGA), the nation's largest state nursery and landscape association, today announced an alliance with PlantFind.com, a provider of business-to-business e-commerce solutions for the nursery and landscape industry. The strategic marketing alliance between FNGA and PlantFind.com allows each to extend their services to more audiences within the nursery and landscape industry.

"The alliance is the perfect marriage of information and communication," said Michael Ferraro, president of PlantFind.com. "Combining the energies of both organizations will create the opportunity for FNGA members to expand their business and enable PlantFind.com to potentially expand its sales and market presence within the nursery and landscape industry."

FNGA represents Florida's environmental horticulture industry, with an estimated $8.5 billion in sales. Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, FNGA challenges its members to maintain a progressive and innovative approach to business. PlantFind.com now offers FNGA members essential tools to compete in today's marketplace, such as electronic procurement and bid submission, online auction for excess inventory, catalogue aggregation and comprehensive customer support programs. All these services enable greater levels of productivity for the commercial nursery and landscape industry.

"The alliance between FNGA and PlantFind.com offers our members an enormous potential for industry expansion," said FNGA President George Hackney. "E-commerce is an untapped resource for potential clientele and this alliance offers the logistics necessary to utilize this reserve."

The PlantFind.com team of industry experts together has more than 300 years of experience in the nursery and landscape industry. Other marketing alliances include Hutchinson's Plant & Supply Locator, Betrock's PlantFinder, and as of last July, Branch-Smith Publishing. PlantFind.com currently offers over 238 million individual plant listings from over 1,700 growers.

"Having a partner like FNGA shows the industry that PlantFind.com is a true solutions provider," Ferraro said. "The organization would not put their name behind us if PlantFind.com could not provide a great service."
