The Florida Turfgrass Association announced that it will be supplying a drop-off box for donations to the American Red Cross at the organization’s upcoming conference and trade show.
The trade show will be held Sept. 11 through 14 at the Hyatt Coconut Point in Bonita Springs, Fla. Attendees are encouraged to use the drop boxes for monetary donations to the American Red Cross to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. At this time, the Red Cross is only accepting monetary donations for the relief effort.

Hurricane Katrina made its way across southern Florida as a Category 1 hurricane on Friday, Aug. 26 before gaining strength over the Gulf of Mexico and reorganizing into a Category 5 storm that ravaged New Orleans, La., as well as Biloxi and Gulfport, Miss., and numerous other Gulf Coast cities.
