Garden-lifestyle retailer, Smith & Hawken, and residential landscape design/build firm, Scapes, have entered into a unique partnership. The two green-related companies will be working together, under one roof in Buckhead, Ga., to provide clients with a complete garden experience.
Scapes will open a design studio inside Smith & Hawken’s Buckhead store. A full-time design staff from Scapes will consult on services including landscape design, site development, water features, hardscapes, privacy screening and grounds maintenance to Smith & Hawken clientele.
Both Smith & Hawken and Scapes believe that an outdoor living space is an extension of the home. While Smith & Hawken offers products for the garden and home, Scapes offers outdoor design/build softscape and hardscape services and maintenance plans. The partnership between the two companies was created to provide an added service and convenience to customers.

In addition to the new design inside Smith & Hawken, Scapes will create garden settings in the store, giving customers a first-hand look at Scapes’ design ideas. Scapes is also designing a new courtyard and patio for the front of the store.
