The first ever Eastern Performance Trials will be held Sept. 19 through 24 and this is an event you won’t want to miss. “The Eastern Performance Trials has been designed to do for gardening what Fashion Week in New York City has done for the apparel industry,” say event organizers. More than 20 companies from around the world will be showing off their top performers at six locations in the Mid-Atlantic during the event. The trials will not only provide a platform for displaying plant material, but will also close the marketing loop between garden center retailers and their customers.

Ready to see some hot new vines? Long-blooming shrubs bursting with color? Flowering annuals that have been proven to outperform others? Luscious foliage that will inspire tropical designs? This is the event for you.

WHY ATTEND? With more than 50 percent of the total sales at garden centers coming from plant material – flowers, seeds, vines, shrubs, trees, foliage and perennials – garden centers can use the trials to distinguish themselves from their competitors and reinforce their marketplace position in the eyes of their customers. By attending Eastern Performance Trials, growers will have an opportunity to preview what’s hot for next season at the same time as their retailer customers.

Not only that, but the Eastern Performance Trials don’t act as a tour with a prescribed agenda. The event takes place at stationary locations and attendees can choose where they want to go and how long they want to stay. The event will give independent garden centers an opportunity to see new introductions in flowers, seeds, vines, shrubs, trees, foliage and perennials.

Moreover, this is a very exciting event for end-users of plant materials, such as gardeners and landscape designers. With the opportunity to view a number of new introductions simultaneously, end-use customers have a chance to close gaps between themselves and their retailers. The even represents the first time all of the biggest names in the green industry will convene on the Eastern seaboard.

Each host location will be open to preregistered attendees from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the event. Registration is free and necessary in order to attend the event, so all interested parties are encouraged to register today. Simply CLICK HERE to register online by choosing the locations you wish to attend and the days you plan to be there. A few other pieces of information and you’re on your way to one of the most exciting green industry events this year!
