The Associated Landscape Contractors of America (ALCA) hosted several hundred green industry professionals Wednesday, Nov. 5, at its annual welcome reception. The evening reception, held at the Renaissance Grand Hotel, was sponsored by LESCO.
The reception also included a silent auction during which contractors could bid on several donated items, including:
1) One month rental of a Caterpillar skid steer loader or mini excavator
2) A Gravely walk-behind mower
3) Zero flatless tire assemblies from J. Thomas
4) A Kichler Landscape Lighting Kit
5) Four tickets to the Coca-Cola 600 in May 2004 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Charlotte, N.C., which were donated by Lowe’s
6) A $500 travel voucher from Travel Worldwide Network
7) An ALCA 2004 GIC conference package including four night’s stay in Charlotte, N.C.
And the Professional Lawn Care Association of America’s (PLCAA) welcome reception brought together industry colleagues as well.
PLCAA members also networked Wednesday night at the association’s welcome reception and raffle. The reception, held at the Adam’s Mark hotel, was sponsored by LESCO.
In addition to providing a forum for industry colleagues to gather, the event also included a raffle to raise money for PLCAA and it’s programs.
A $5 raffle ticket bought attendees a chance to win one of four prizes:
1) High-wheel stainless steel spreader (donated by LESCO)
2) $500 cash
3) Palm Pilot PDA
4) Bobcat remote track loader (donated by Bobcat)
