Every year, thousands of green industry professionals from around the country look forward to the annual Green Industry Expo (GIE) where they can meet with suppliers on the show floor, try new products at the outdoor demo and learn new business techniques at the concurrent Green Industry Conference.
This year, the only thing that some contractors are looking forward to more than GIE is the 2004 presidential election. But in your haste to pack for Charlotte, N.C. where GIE will be held Nov. 3 through 6, don’t forget to head to the polls.
Election Day 2004 is Nov. 2, just one day before GIE begins in Charlotte. As such, conference attendees who plan to travel on or before Election Day should contact their local Board of Elections for absentee ballots and information on how and when to properly submit them. Board of Elections employees also can help non-registered voters sign up to vote, or visit the Federal Election Commission’s Web site to register online.
