GIE Will Include Tree Care Education

The Tree Care Industry Association will offer a two-session educational course in conjunction with this year's Green Industry Expo.

The Green Industry Expo and its sponsors are pleased to welcome the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) as a contributor to the educational offerings planned in conjunction with the annual trade show.

Formerly known as the National Arborist Association (NAA), TCIA will present a one-day short course on Saturday, Nov. 8.  The course will be divided into two sessions, titled “When to Call an Arborist” and “Power Selling: What Makes a Top Sales Person.”

“As the voice of tree care, TCIA strives to make professional tree care information available at every opportunity,” comments Cynthia Mills, president, TCIA. “The Green Industry Expo has presented us with an excellent opportunity to deliver content to professionals working in different areas of the green industry, all of whom are critical to proper tree care.”

The motivation behind this educational alliance is twofold, explains Gary Clayton, executive vice president, the Professional Lawn Care Association of America. “We want to recognize the diversity of today’s green industry professional and broaden the spectrum of education and technical tracts available to them at GIE. In addition, attendees and exhibitors at the GIE venue benefit by the networking opportunities with tree care professionals.”

Registration for the TCIA Short Course is $95 when paid by Sept. 15 and $125 after that date. To register, log on to www.gieonline.com.
