Green Building Focus Plans Expo

Green building is on the rise in Birmingham, Ala., and a local company is bringing a conference to help educate industry professionals on the trend.

The Green Building Focus Conference and Expo is scheduled for May 12-15 at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex.

Organizers say the conference will help provide information and education about green building and the sustainability movement – and will also feature a two-day Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification training course presented by the University of Florida.

James Smith, CEO of Green Building Focus, said the conference will focus on the issues specific to sustainability and green building for the Southeast.
