Tomorrow, small business owners from around the country will meet in Washington, D.C. to lobby their Members of Congress for support of H-2B reform. New details on the event agenda were finalized recently.
Most attendees will arrive in Washington on March 14 with a day on the Hill beginning on the morning of March 15. The agenda includes:
7:45 to 9:00 a.m. 138 Dirksen Senate Office Building. Meeting with U.S. Congressional staff members to be briefed on the Save Our Small and Seasonal Businesses Act of 2006. The meeting will begin at 8, but attendees are asked to arrive early (between 7:30 and 7:45) for the opportunity to meet each other, and to grab breakfast in the Dirksen building cafeteria or at Union Station.
138 Dirksen Senate Office Building is easy to find. The Dirksen Building is the middle of the three Senate office buildings, and is located at the corner of Constitution Avenue and First Street, NE. The building is across the street from the US Capitol.
Congressional staff from the Offices of Senator Mikulski, Representative Bass and others will be present.
Lunch Attendees are on their own for lunch, at their leisure.
9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Meet with U.S. Senators and Representatives and their staffs.
