The Healthy Green Spaces Coalition has formed, aiming to advance smart, responsible water use in landscapes.
By sharing science-based research and expert guidance, the coalition is trying to help individuals and communities create sustainable, beautiful and water-efficient green spaces.
“With water resources increasingly strained, efficient landscape water management isn’t just best practice—it’s a necessity,” says Andrew Bray, senior vice president of the National Association of Landscape Professionals. “The Coalition partners are committed to bringing up-to-date research data and recommended irrigation practices to the table to guide sound policy and protect green spaces nationwide.”
The coalition’s website, created in partnership with Radian Developers, offers expert guidance, real-world data and insights on landscape water management. Lead partners in the coalition include Hunter Industries, the National Association of Landscape Professionals, Rain Bird and Scotts. Supporting Partners include Ewing Outdoor Supply, SiteOne Landscape Supply and the Texas Nursery and Landscape Association.
