Swepsonville, N.C. – Honda Power Equipment unveiled its new HRN Series of residential lawn mowers Tuesday at the 35th anniversary celebration of the Honda Power Equipment Manufacturing facility.
Replacing the Honda HRR Series, the HRN lawn mowers offer a new Honda GCV170 engine, which delivers nine percent more power and 18 percent more torque than the Honda GCV160 engine in the outgoing Honda HRR Series of mowers. The HRN mowers also include added features like improved design on the Adjustable Smart Drive and a new dual-lever height adjustment.
The lawn mowers were designed from the ground up and tested at Honda Research and Development Americas. The new models will be produced at the nearby HPE manufacturing facility. Both Honda operations are based in North Carolina.
