Craig R. Cowden was named president of Horizon Horticultural Group.
Cowden, 51, will continue to supervise Horizon¹s four divisions: Garden Center, Landscape and Design, Landscape and Nursery Supply, and Production Nurseries.

Cowden has a Bachelor's degree in Horticulture and a Master's in Business Administration. Prior to joining Horizon, he was an executive at several landscape and nursery companies in Florida and California. He recently was interviewed for an article about his favorite hobby: sculpting. Cowden's work has been displayed at a number of art shows and galleries in his home state of California.
Cowden lives in Palm Beach Gardens with his wife, Leigh, and five children.
Leigh, a former Air Force air traffic controller, graduated from law school in May.
Founded in 1992, Horizon recently was recognized by the Florida Nurserymen¹s and Growers Association for having a staff with one of the highest number of certified horticulture professionals in the state.
