Horizon Opens New Store in Las Vegas Area

PHOENIX, Ariz. – Las Vegas Metropolitan has a new distribution location to serve its landscape and irrigation professionals in the North section of the city. This month, Horizon opened its newest store in North Las Vegas.

With its second location in the Las Vegas area, Horizon continues its growth plan to supply landscape professionals with one-stop-shopping. North Vegas will carry a full line of product, including irrigation, power equipment, landscape lighting, chemicals, fertilizers, golf and central control. The new store is located at 2620 West Brooks Ave. The facility has over 11,000 square feet, with a 30,000-square-foot yard, space for ample parking and storage. The store is professionally merchandised with product descriptions, manufacturer cut sheets and bilingual aisle signs throughout.

“Las Vegas is the fastest-growing city in the west, and has been for over five years”, explains Jim Ross, President and CEO of Horizon. “While our Las Vegas store has done an outstanding job meeting demand of the local landscape professionals, continued expansion outside the city increases demand for a new store. The location is convenient, and centrally located to a number of emerging and expanding areas.”

The North Las Vegas Horizon store officially opens its doors on February 14, 2005. The store is fully stocked with Horizon’s complete product line, including irrigation, professional lawn care equipment, landscape products, and lighting. The store features a Contractor Resource Center, offering landscape professionals an office setting where they can draft designs, perform online searches, fax proposals, and study manufacturer catalogs and resources. In addition, Horizon’s professionally trained staff is available to assist with product recommendations and specifications. Craig Remeika, store manager, has been with Horizon for almost eight years, and is very familiar with the Las Vegas market. Craig will be working closely with the established sales team, including Jason Austin, Martin Huerta, Candi Milner and Regional Sales Manager Scott Bennett.
