Horizon Turf Nursery, a producer and supplier of turfgrass sod serving Denver, the Front Range and Eastern Colorado, has launched a new website at HorizonTurfNursery.com. The new site offers tips for sod installation, maintenance and information about the best low-water use grasses for Colorado lawns and commercial properties.
Located in Fort Morgan, Colorado, Horizon Turf Nursery has been in business since 1986. The sod farm grows four varieties of sod grass:
- Tahoma 31 Bermudagrass: A water-efficient turfgrass variety, Tahoma 31 uses up to 60% less water than most other grass varieties available in Colorado and is recommended by water districts and other agencies around the state for water-efficient lawns. A fine-bladed grass, it is suitable for use on lawns, golf courses and sports fields.
- Bluegrass: HTN Texas Hybrid and HTN Kentucky Bluegrass varieties offer year-round color and lush, dense lawns. HTN Texas Hybrid offers drought resistance and heat tolerance. HTN Kentucky Bluegrass tolerates low mowing heights and is ideal for lawns and sports fields.
- HTN 90/10 Fescue: A mix of Tall Fescue and Texas Bluegrass, it produces a medium-balded lawn that stands up to shade and wear. It also tolerates varying salt levels found in reclaimed irrigation water.
Horizon Turf Nursery grows, harvests and delivers fresh sod grass as Big Roll or Small Roll sod to the Denver metropolitan area, the Front Range and Eastern Colorado mountain communities. Installation is also available.
The new HorizonTurfNursery.com website was developed by What’s Your Avocado? Marketing & Public Relations based in Mount Vernon, WA.
