Doug Cowles, president and CEO of Horticultural Asset Management (HMI), announced that his company has reached an agreement with Bartlett Tree Experts, a nationwide provider of tree and shrub care services. Under the new agreement, Bartlett is making its local arborists available throughout its U.S. branch network of over 80 offices to support the creation of Certified HMI Horticultural Assessments (Assessments).
Bartlett personnel will also be available to conduct both remedial and preventive services which may be required as a result of the assessment process. The agreement greatly expands HMI’s market coverage by making its products and service available throughout Bartlett’s pre-existing network.
Certified Assessments provide HMI clients with detailed information regarding the trees and shrubs on their properties. The information includes a plant description, location, replacement cost value, general health assessment and other important data which can be used for insurance, tax, real estate or risk management applications. HMI is currently providing its Assessments to insurance companies to support enhanced insurance products on landscaping as well as for risk mitigation services for their customers. Other HMI clients include home sellers who want to highlight the value of their landscaping during the sale process and home buyers interested in documenting the types and health of the trees and shrubs on the properties they are looking to acquire.
