They will make this trip in honor of the green industry that they have served for the past 16 years and in recognition of Gordie Bailey’s visionary trip Tour de Hort, a cross-country bicycle trip, spanning the years 1999 to 2003, which raised $1.25 million for green industry research across the United States.

HRI is currently accepting donations in honor of the Trek de Hort. Donations can be made in the name of a business, a friend or family members. This fundraiser provides an opportunity for the strong husband and wife teams who own so many of our industry’s businesses to recognize their partnership as Bob and Susie hike together in support green industry research.

For HRI donors with established named funds, you may make a contribution to your fund in support of the trek. All donations will be used in support of industry research and will go into HRI’s Endowment Fund.
