Husquvarna has announced a safety notice and recall associated with two of the maintenance equipment manufacturer’s lawn tractors. Models LTH18542A and LTH18542B are affected.
According to a press release on Husqvarna’s Web site, the affected lawn tractors may, under normal use, develop abrasions on the fuel tank due to the fuel line clamp location. Should this condition occur, a fuel tank leak could develop and create a potential for fire.
Husqvarna has reported the potential problem to the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission and is working with the commission to take remedial action to ensure that the affected lawn tractor fuel tanks are replaced.
Any individual who owns or operates Husqvarna lawn tractors with model numbers LTH18542A and LTH18542B will need to have their machines serviced, free of charge, by an authorized Husqvarna service provider. Dealers may be located by using the Retailer Locator function of the Husqvarna Web site or by calling 800/HUSKY-62. Questions, concerns and requests for assistance in finding a service provider can be directed to Husqvarna by calling 800/448-7543 and select option 1.
