CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Husqvarna has hired Bike (pronounced “Bee-kay”) Howard to serve as the company’s director of electronic business. In this new position, Howard will develop a comprehensive strategy to identify and implement projects aimed at increasing dealer sales, adding value and improving customers’ experiences in the e-business realm.
Howard will oversee Husqvarna’s current electronic communication channels, including the company Web site, dealer extranet and employee intranet.
“Electronic communication and other Web-based capabilities have grown significantly over the past few years and will be a critical part of our future success,” said David Zerfoss, president, Husqvarna. “Ultimately, we want to make it easier to do business with Husqvarna electronically...”
Prior to joining Husqvarna, Howard served as an electronic channel strategist for FedEx, where she worked to improve customers’ experiences both in software and online applications. A graduate of the University of Missouri-Rolla with a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Howard earned an MBA from Tulane University.
