Husqvarna Offers New Online Service for Dealer

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Husqvarna has announced an exclusive contract with ProQuest Media Solutions, a business unit of ProQuest Co. to provide an inventory query, price look-up and ordering solution.

The ProQuest eConnect solution provides real-time inventory availability, pricing status, purchase order submittal and purchase order confirmation receipt. Dealers will be able to submit parts orders seamlessly to Husqvarna’s business system directly from their dealer management systems, eliminating duplicate order entry. With this end-to-end solution, orders will be received and processed more quickly and accurately.

 This new system will enable dealers to quickly check inventory and pricing, submit orders and receive order confirmation 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This crucial information will enable dealers to provide customers with better information at the time of purchase, increasing customer and dealer satisfaction.

The agreement is consistent with Husqvarna’s ongoing strategy of providing its dealers with more resources and opportunities enhance their businesses.  Participation in the program will be optional and Husqvarna will continue to support dealers through its existing Web Order system.

The system will be available to U.S. dealers in early spring 2005.
