"Dixon is a well-known brand in the commercial and residential equipment industry with strong distribution in the servicing dealer channel for over 30 years,” says Henric Andersson, president of Husqvarna Turf Care. “This acquisition will allow Husqvarna to realize synergies in product development, manufacturing and sourcing, ultimately strengthening our overall position in the market.”
Dixon’s operations will be transitioning over the next few weeks to Husqvarna’s Beatrice, Neb. facility that opened in 2005. The 274,000 square foot factory features state-of-the-art equipment and has lean manufacturing processes in place to allow for quick and efficient responses to changing market demands.
"Our plan is to continue marketing, selling and distributing the Dixon brand under the current business model through its established dealer and distributor network,” Andersson says. “A multi-brand strategy in conjunction with a strong product development process, paying close attention to product differentiation, will allow us to further strengthen the Dixon, Husqvarna, Yazoo/Kees and BlueBird brands.”
Husqvarna Turf Care is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of outdoor power equipment for residential and commercial landscapes. For more information, contact Husqvarna Turf Care, 401 N. Commerce Street, Beatrice, NE 68310 or call 704-921-6864.
