CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Husqvarna will once again serve as an official sponsor of the 2003 Capitol Holiday Tree. This marks the manufacturer’s fourth consecutive year as a participant.
As in years past, Husqvarna will provide two professional-grade chain saws for the tree-cutting ceremony as well as safety apparel for the individuals who will perform the tree felling.
The 2003 Capitol Holiday Tree will adorn the front lawn of the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington D.C. during the holiday season. The 70-foot Engelmann Spruce will be cut in the Boise National Forest on Nov. 3 and will travel to communities throughout Idaho before being carried cross-country via truck. Once in Washington, D.C. the tree will be the centerpiece of an official lighting ceremony, scheduled Dec. 11, and will be adorned with handmade ornaments from Idaho residents.
“The Capitol Holiday Tree is a wonderful yearly tradition to celebrate the holiday season,” said Davis Zerfoss, president of the North Carolina-headquartered manufacturer. “Husqvarna is proud to continue our involvement in this outstanding program.”
Husqvarna offers forest, lawn and garden power equipment for all applications, including a complete line of chain saws, clearing saws, cut-off saws, riding and walk-behind mowers, yard and garden tractors, tillers, edgers, brushcutters, grass trimmers, backpack and hand-held blowers, snow throwers and commercial turf care equipment.
