Fla

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Husqvarna has announced it has agreed to a three-race sponsorship with WW Motorsports, competing in this year’s NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series.

The WW Motorsports car will feature Husqvarna logos on the hood and sides while the pit crew will sport Husqvarna shirts for the following three races:
· May 15: Chevy American Revolution 400, Richmond, Va.
· May 22: NASCAR NEXTEL All-Star Challenge, Charlotte, N.C.
· May 30: Coca-Cola 600, Charlotte, N.C.

Stanton Barrett, the driver for the WW Motorsports entry, has 12 years of experience racing in both the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series and NASCAR Busch Series. The team owner is David Watson.

“We are pleased to have the support of a nationally recognized brand like Husqvarna for these three races,” said Watson. “We’re looking forward to competing in these high profile events.”

“NASCAR is a natural connection for us based on the similar attributes we both have relating to speed, power, handling and performance,” said David Zerfoss, president of Husqvarna. “We are looking forward to seeing the Husqvarna logo on the track with WW Motorsports.”
