San Diego-based Hydro-Scape, an irrigation an landscape product supplier, has earned the gold standard certification as a woman-owned business by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). WBENC certification is a tool for expanding the company's value and influence in major government projects, as well as servicing more than 700 corporations and non-profit organizations. Now known as a certified WBE [Women’s Business Enterprise], Hydro-Scape has been recognized for its business excellence and diversification in its workforce.
CEO Elaine Tiglio commented on the certification, calling it a valuable asset in a growing industry. “We are proud to be certified as a Women's Business Enterprise and appreciate the opportunities and recognition that the WBENC affords. This gives our company and our customers a real competitive advantage with partners that practice supplier diversity in their projects.”
By using women-owned businesses as suppliers, corporations and government organizations show a commitment to diversity and business development. “Companies that diversify their supply chains benefit from a range of new ideas, technologies, and products,” said Tiglio. “As a result of this certification, Hydro-Scape now stands out in our industry by offering the unparalleled care and service of a professionally family-run and woman-owned business supported by a national certification program.”
