The U.S. Small Business Council has a new chairman, and it’s Ian MacLean, the owner and president of Highland Landscaping.
MacLean has been transforming lawns and installations for 18 years with Highland Landscaping. With notable clients such as The Hilton, Methodist Southlake Hospital and the city of Southlake, Highland Landscaping provides several services such as fertilization, irrigation, property cleanup and maintenance.
That hard work has led it to some esteemed recognitions. Not only was the business recognized as the No. 1 family business of the year in “Fort Worth Business Press’” top 100 businesses of 2020 but also MacLean was appointed to serve as chairman for the U.S. Small Business Council.
“It was quite a surprise when we got the phone call,” MacLean said. “We didn’t apply for it, we didn’t campaign for it. This was just a blessing that fell right out of the sky.”
