The Idaho Nursery Association has changed its name to the Idaho Nursery and Landscape Association.
The change was made after discussions within the association determined that the organization’s reach extended far beyond the term nursery, including other segments of the green industry as well.
“This change is a reflection of how important the relationship is with all segments of the green industry,” explained Seneca Hull, former president of the association. “The term ‘landscape’ includes installation, irrigation and maintenance.”
The INA currently tests and certifies professionals through the Certified Landscape Technician program. Support for the name change was strong among the association’s members, many of whom said the new name should help expand the goals of the organization.
