Ignite Attachments
Ignite Attachments has introduced its new tree and fence post puller — a U.S.-engineered solution built to remove trees, brush and fence posts.
This heavy-duty attachment is designed for contractors, landowners and property managers who require consistent results without additional tools or cleanup steps. The tree puller is engineered for skid steers and compact track loaders.
“Ignite's goal is to deliver tools that make real work easier, not more complicated,” says Trisha Pearson, business director at Ignite Attachments. “This puller does exactly that. It’s strong, smart and versatile—engineered to give customers more capability without increasing cost or complexity.”
The product's design
The skid steer tree puller features serrated jaws capable of removing trees up to eight inches in diameter, roots and all. This eliminates the need for stump grinding or chainsaw work, reducing overall job time and simplifying cleanup. The attachment is made with a laser-cut steel frame and weighs 337 pounds.
The puller also includes a forward-angled push bar. This added layer of operator protection is especially important when clearing dense vegetation or working near structures. The bar also provides forward leverage, helping to dislodge deeply rooted growth.
“Our team benchmarked leading models in the market and combined that with direct operator feedback, and what we found was clear — the push bar wasn’t just helpful, it was necessary,” Pearson says. "The push bar allows the operator to guide pulled trees forward away from the cab, better protecting the machine and the operator. That insight drove our decision to include it in the design, even at a value-focused price point. It’s a simple addition that makes a major difference on the job.”
Additional options
An optional bolt-on guard protects the hydraulic cylinder from impact with tree limbs, underbrush and buried debris. Combined with nylon-sleeved hydraulic hoses, this added protection helps reduce the risk of damage and minimize unplanned maintenance. The puller is equipped with a 2.5-inch bore cylinder, a 1.25-inch rod and a 1.25-inch pin, delivering dependable power and grip strength with each pull.
An optional side step is also available and can be installed on either side of the tree puller frame. This feature makes it easier for operators to enter and exit the cab, especially when frequently mounting and dismounting during land clearing or fence work.
More features
Greaseable pins simplify routine maintenance and help extend service life. The attachment is available with standard serrated jaws or an optional jaw set specifically designed to better grip round fence posts, giving operators more flexibility in post and tree removal tasks. This alternative design reduces the risk of crushing posts and provides cleaner extraction for wooden or metal round posts often found in agricultural and perimeter fencing. Installation is straightforward, requiring just two bolts per jaw.
A built-in 2-inch receiver hitch provides additional functionality, enabling operators to reposition trailers and materials without changing attachments. This feature is especially useful in tight spaces, on acreage properties or on remote jobsites where multiple machines may not be available.
The tree and fence post puller connects using a universal skid steer quick attach interface and includes Faster flat-face couplers for secure, reliable hydraulic hookup. Ultimately, the tree puller has dimensions of 28.1 inches in height, 45.6 inches in width and 31.1 inches in depth.
