Brickman, the largest commercial landscape maintenance firm in the U.S., announced today CEO Scott Brickman received the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the Real Estate Services division in the Greater Washington region. The award, which recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who are building and leading dynamic and growing businesses, was presented at a special 20th anniversary gala event at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel with more than 600 people in attendance.

Since assuming the position of CEO in 1998 at the age of 35, Scott Brickman has grown the privately-held commercial landscape maintenance firm, founded by his grandfather, from $100 million to $500 million in annual revenues, a 500 percent increase over seven years. Today, the company has more than 6,000 employees and 135 branches in 23 states and provides quality commercial landscape services to thousands of office parks, hotels, cemeteries, healthcare facilities, retail centers, homeowners associations and schools around the country.
In addition to recognizing Scott Brickman for his business acumen, the award underscores the company’s commitment to philanthropy. One such example is Brickman’s annual “Founders Day” in which the firm recognizes the philanthropic spirit of its founder Theodore Brickman Sr. by sponsoring work projects at charitable organizations in the communities where they work and live.
