Industry Veterans Reunite to Form Commercial Company

The reunion comes five years after Minor’s Landscape Services’s acquisition by SeviceMaster, Inc.

DALLAS – Three former Minor’s Landscape Services, Inc., executives are teaming up with their former chief executive officer, David Minor, to create a new commercial landscape management company – The Landscape Partners.

Comprised of executives from Minor’s Landscape Services, the new company will offer commercial landscaping services for the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The Landscape Partners will be led by industry veterans Randy Ferrari, Rick Onstott and Tim Viehmann, with Minor supplying capital funding for the new venture.

The formation of The Landscape Partners comes exactly five years after Minor’s original landscape services firm was acquired by ServiceMaster, Inc.’s TruGreen landscape division in 1998. At that time, Minor’s was one of Dallas/Fort Worth’s largest providers of commercial landscaping services – boasting $12 million in annual revenue.  In the new company, Minor will serve as chairman, with Ferrari serving as president of The Landscape Partners.

“Providing start-up capital to help The Landscape Partners launch its services was one of the easiest investment decisions I have ever made,” Minor observed. “The company’s management team is comprised of experienced leaders who know how to deliver excellent service to customers, while simultaneously operating an efficient and profitable business.”

Minor now serves as director of the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies and as the William M. Dickey entrepreneur in residence at Texas Christian University’s M.J. Neeley School of Business. He also serves as president of Minor & Associates, which invests in start-ups, established entrepreneurial ventures and limited partnerships.

The Landscape Partner’s management team has more than 60 years of combined industry experience.  Together, they have won more than 17 national, state and local awards for a variety of projects, including corporate campuses, luxury hotels, industrial developments, retail centers, and multi-family communities.

“Reuniting this seasoned management team to lead the operations and strategic growth of The Landscape Partners is a truly unique opportunity,” Ferrari commented. “During our years with Minor’s Landscape Services, we achieved a formula for success in this industry, and now we’re excited to have the opportunity to join forces and do it again.”
