Irrigation Show Goes to Anaheim

The show, Nov. 2–4, will be at the Anaheim Convention Center and will feature classes, exams and networking opportunities.

The Irrigation Association will hold its annual trade show, Irrigation Show 2008, in Anaheim, Calif. Nov. 2 – 4 at the Anaheim Convention Center. The show offers irrigation professionals a unique opportunity to connect with industry peers and learn strategies and skills to improve their bottom line.

The show begins on Sunday, Nov. 2 with the opening of the expo floor, where exhibitors display the latest in irrigation technology. In addition to exhibitor booths, the expo floor will feature a Smart Irrigation Month Idea Gallery, a solutions center and bookstore, the IAEF silent auction and the new product contest, with winners being announced Monday, Nov. 3.

The general session will be held Monday, Nov. 3, featuring IA President Doug York, and IA President-elect Stephen Smith. The keynote address will be given by Dr. Peter H. Gleick, the co-founder and president of the Pacific Institute for Studies in Development, Environment & Security. Dr. Gleick is a recognized expert on the critical connections between water and human health, the hydrologic impacts of climate change and international conflicts over water resources.

Highlights of Irrigation Show 2008 will include:

  • More than 30 IA classes will be offered.
  • Certification exams for six IA classifications – and PLANET and CLCA exam offerings.
  • A two-day Innovations in Irrigation business track, with 57 different presentations regarding agricultural, turf/landscape and water management issues.
  • Business sessions regarding Smart Irrigation Month, WaterSense and SWAT.
  • IA hosted Grower Reception and Forum, and Contractor Reception.
    The unveiling of a new brand and logo for the Irrigation Association.
