Date: Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004 |
To top off the event, attendees will be able to enjoy California’s classic In-N-Out burgers for lunch, see how exhibitors fare in the dunk tank and participate in a raffle of 40 prizes worth a total of $15,000.
“We’ve really expanded a lot since our first year,” says Richard Daigle, president of Irrigator Tech. “We started out with just 12 booths and 100 attendees the first year and this year we’ve got 50 booths and already 1,000 people registered to attend. We’re very excited to watch interest expand from just the local area to the surrounding states and regions.”
Daigle says 50 to 80 new registrations for the event have been coming in daily and thanks sponsoring organizations including the California Landscape Contractors Association, The American Landscape Contractors Association and Sportsturf for their help in promoting the event. All three organizations will have booths at the trade show.
Finally, Diagle shared another exciting event that will take place during the show: The unveiling of Irrigator Tech’s new 40-foot long fifth-wheel trailer that will allow the group to take their classes and shows on the road. “It really looks like a giant NASCAR trailer, but it folds out to a full classroom that can accommodate 25 people,” He says. “In addition to being able to use the trailer for our seminars and training, we’ll also be bringing with us to job sites as part of ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. We participate in that show and we’re luck to have some of the cast members from join us at the trade show this year.”
