With just a few days before the conference begins, the registration window is still open for the 2003 Lawn & Landscape School of Management Conference scheduled Feb. 8-11, 2003, in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. The conference, now in its seventh year, is geared toward managers of lawn and landscape contractor companies of all sizes who are interested in furthering their knowledge of business management practices.
“Lawn & Landscape is pleased to bring the 2003 School of Management Conference to Ft. Lauderdale and continue our tradition of offering contractors the finest in business management education,” said Bob West, group publisher of Lawn & Landscape. “The combination of quality educational sessions and speakers, valuable networking opportunities, affordable registration and hotel rates make the School of Management an outstanding value for contractors.”
The School of Management features dynamic general sessions and a choice of informative breakout seminars on key business management and industry-related topics presented by leading industry managers, consultants and business experts. The sessions are designed to help conference attendees structure their companies more efficiently and position them for future growth.
Attendees should consider starting their trip to the 2003 Lawn & Landscape School of Management with a few unique opportunities: an informative tour of Stiles Landscape, a Lawn & Landscape Top 100 Company, or the lawn care professional training seminar – where they will learn how to grow their lawn, ornamental and tree care operations. Both events are sure to send participants home with new ideas and tips on expanding or refining their own operations.
The facility tour, always a popular event with School of Management attendees, is set for Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003 from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. The host company, Stiles Landscape, is a full-service outfit with more than 145 full-time employees and is a major player in the South Florida landscape market. Attendees will tour the company’s facility and have the opportunity to talk with the Stiles Landscape management team, ask questions about how they run their operation, pick up new ideas and compare notes with fellow contractors. The cost is $20 per person and includes round-trip transportation and refreshments. Advance registration and payment is required.
If lawn care is your business, then the Lawn & Landscape Lawn Care Professional Training Seminar is where you need to be. Scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The seminar will feature an array of topics and speakers designed specifically for lawn care professionals covering current business and technical trends. CEU credits will be available for qualifying sessions.
Lawn & Landscape is partnering with the Certified Pest Control Operators Association of Florida to provide the seminar, and CPCO members are eligible for discounted registration. Registration is $75 per person ($60 for CPCO members) and $25 with the purchase of a full conference registration to the School of Management. The registration fee includes all conference materials and lunch.
A full conference registration is $245 per person or $195 per person group registration for groups of three or more from the same company.
