The Independent Turf & Ornamental Distributors Association (ITODA) elected its leadership during the group’s fall meeting held in October. Several members were re-elected to their positions and a number of individuals also join the leadership team for the first time.
Chris Petersen, was re-elected to serve as ITODA president. An ITODA member for eight years, Petersen has also served as vice president and as chair of the professional development committee.
Also re-elected were vice president, Brian Feury and secretary/treasurer, Chad Will. Don Naumann continues in his role as past president. The officers’ terms begin in January.
Dan Henderson, was elected to a two-year term on the association’s board of directors, after having been appointed to fill a one-year unexpired term. Also, associate member Joel Simmons, was elected by associate members to fill a two-year term as their representative, replacing Gary Grigg, who completed his term on the board.
Former ITODA President Michael Fisher, was selected to fill a one-year term as the board’s appointee. Wally Boilek and Ned Herod continue on the Board in the second year of their terms.
ITODA is a national organization representing independently-owned businesses who sell to the turf and landscape industry, as well as the suppliers and manufacturers who sell to them. ITODA’s mission is to strengthen the independent distributors’ marketing position in the golf course, lawn care, landscape and ornamental horticulture plant protection markets through education, training, and communication.
