CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte, N.C.-based plant of Jacobsen, a Textron company, has recently exceeded one million hours of operation without a lost-time accident. In recognition of this accomplishment, Jacobsen was awarded, for the second time, the Textron Award of Merit.
“We are extremely proud of this accomplishment,” said Jacobsen’s President and CEO, Jon Carlson. “Manufacturing high-speed turf cutting aeration equipment, and accessories parts can be very dangerous. The Textron Award of Merit recognizes that our employees are dedicated to their co-workers and their own safety.”
The 2003 Textron Award of Merit recognizes employee’s commitment to personal safety, commitment to company policies and procedures and systems. A true dedication to all of these factors is what led to Jacobsen’s accomplishment.
