Officials with John Deere Dubuque Works, Dubuque, Iowa, say 25 manufacturing jobs will be cut this month.
Company officials cited depressed conditions including a 7 percent sales decline from a year ago as the reason for layoffs.
John May, general manager, says the layoffs are not an easy action to take, but they are needed to ensure that John Deere Dubuque Works remains competitive.
