Green industry veteran Pete Johnson has been named the John Deere Landscapes area manager for Orange and San Diego counties.
The new area manager will oversee sales, marketing and operational activities, in addition to new branch openings and recruitment.
Recently, Johnson has been fulfilling special marketing assignments for John Deere Landscapes. He was previously employed by The Toro Company in Riverside, Calif., as a national sales program and planning manager. At Toro he directed nationwide wholesale distributor programs and promotions for irrigation products. He also did sales work for Irritrol Systems and James Hardie Irrigation.
Johnson has a master’s degree from the University of California, Irvine, and a bachelor of arts degree from UCLA.
John Deere Landscapes has launched two new branches in southern California this summer, and has several more locations planned. The company is a wholesale distributor of irrigation products, landscape supplies, low-voltage lighting, water garden materials and offers nursery stock in some locations.
