John Deere’s “team” of experts may not be passing the professional pigskin this season, but the green industry company will definitely strut its stuff on the football turf.
The manufacturer and supplier of industry equipment has been designated preferred provider of grounds care equipment for the newly renovated Soldier Field – home of the Chicago Bears. John Deere recently signed a 2003-2004-season sponsorship with the NFL team.
“The Chicago Bears are known for their hard-charging ground game and work ethic,” explained Gregg Breningmeyer, director of sales and marketing, John Deere Golf and Turf, “John Deere has a long history of producing hard-working machines for every landscape. It’s a natural fit. We’re proud to be associated with the Bears and the revitalized Soldier Field.”
And the John Deere equipment will be a valued addition to stadium operations at Soldier Field, noted Ken Mrock, head groundskeeper, Chicago Bears.
This multiyear partnership includes in-stadium signage, radio, print and online advertising, merchandising and hospitality. Soldier Field’s grounds crew will be dressed in uniforms complete with the John Deere logo.
