Kendle joins Sterling Lighting as head engineer

Paul Kendle has more than 30 years’ experience in the industry.


STERLING, Va. — Sterling Lighting is pleased to welcome Paul Kendle to its team. In his new role

as head engineer at Sterling Lighting, Kendle will direct engineering for the company and take the

lead in developing drivers.

“Understanding and controlling the design and manufacturing of the electronics in our fixtures is

essential to proving the consistency and quality our customers need. We are excited to have

Paul join our team. He brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and a commitment to quality

that is a perfect fit for our team,” said Sterling Lighting Co-Founder, Patrick Harders.

Kendle brings over 30 years’ experience in his field to his new role at Sterling Lighting, and is

moving from a consultant role to head engineer after designing Sterling Lighting’s 15W boost

LED driver that works off 12-15VAC.

Notable past projects for Kendle include engineering the power supply for the Crown CE3000, Big

Ass Fans, Haiku Light and Haiku Fan Light. His work has been featured in Power

Electronics Systems Magazine (formerly PCIM Magazine), at the PCIM Europe Technical

Conference and the IEEE IAS Conference.

Kendle is an alumni of the University of Missouri at Columbia, where he earned both his Bachelor

of Science and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering.
