"It is so exciting to see all the press coverage KokoBo has been receiving lately," said Michael Madarash, president of KokoBo Plantscapes.
KokoBo will be apart of PBS's Victory Garden show on "the top five tips for designing a small space," scheduled to air on either June 4 or 18. The five-minute segment will feature the Lefkowitz project (right), which received the Professional Landcare Network's (PLANET) Environmental Improvement Award in 2004, for it's stunning design that transformed a barren rooftop into a personal retreat. The show will also mention the Stewart rooftop, which through imaginative design transformed a 200-square-foot rooftop into and Asian oasis and provided the owners with an additional 32 square feet.
HGTV's popular reality show “Landscaper's Challenge,” where three landscaper designers present designs to homeowners in hopes of being chosen to implement the design, will feature KokoBo as one of three designers. The challenge designer's are faced with is an overgrown 200-square-foot courtyard located in a narrow space that has poor use of space and zero design elements. Madarash will present his design to the owner on May 23 and 24 and if chosen KokoBo's crew will begin construction the following week.
Better Homes and Gardens Ideas and Outdoor Living is also in the planning stages of setting up a photo shoot for early summer of the Lefkowitz rooftop. For more information, visit www.KoKoBo.com.
