TORRANCE, Calif. – Kubota Corp. named Tetsuji Tomita to the company's board of directors.

Tomita was appointed president of the Kubota Tractor Corp. (KTC) in 2004. He previously served as president of Kubota's European operation and as general manager of Kubota Export Department in Japan, along with additional Kubota experience in the United States. Tomita's Board appointment reflects his executive experience and the growing importance of KTC and the North American market for Kubota Corp.

Tomita will soon dedicate KTC's newest regional facility in Groveport, Ohio. The planned opening of Kubota's Northern Division in Ohio follows a similar plant dedication in Lodi, Calif., in May 2005. The opening of Kubota's new Western Division marks the fourth facility improvement in less than three years.
