Lawn & Landscape online continues to provide readers with valuable, comprehensive coverage of the green industry. This month, the magazine introduced “RSS” technology to its Web site, www.lawnandlandscape.com.
RSS, which stands for “really simple syndication,” delivers targeted industry news, event listings and convention coverage directly to your desktop via a sophisticated electronic syndication service. With RSS, users simply access a link on their desktop to gain access to news feeds reflecting their particular areas of interest (i.e. Lawn & Landscape Online, Wall Street Journal, Forbes, etc.). Syndicated content from these sources is then fed directly to their desktop as it is posted, providing valuable market information and industry news without having to search for it.
“Our readers lead busy lives,” says Chris Foster, president of GIE Media, publisher of Lawn & Landscape magazine. “By offering our news content to landscape contractors via an RSS feed, we allow them to access relevant market information quickly and easily with the click of a mouse, and in real time. It’s just another illustration of Lawn & Landscape’s ongoing investment in the green industry.”
