Lawn & Landscape magazine prides itself on its ability to bring green industry professionals together in print, through business-building conferences and seminars, and through its Web site www.lawnandlandscape.com. And as many visitors to Lawn & Landscape Online already know, one of the cores of this contractor communication is the Lawn & Landscape Online Message Board.
Every day, dozens of green industry contractors post their questions, advice and industry-related comments on the Message Board, creating conversations that allow business owners and managers from around the country to share their thoughts and help foster industry professionalism. All visitors to Lawn & Landscape Online are encouraged to participate in this dynamic forum where you’re bound to learn something from your industry colleagues – or you may be able to teach someone else a less or two that you’ve learned over the years.
One area of Lawn & Landscape Online that is the impetus for a number of Message Board conversations is the Headline News section of the homepage. Updated several times daily, the news section helps keep professionals informed of industry goings-on with articles covering everything from supplier mergers and acquisitions to personnel announcements, industry events, legislative updates and business management topics.

As with other news outlets, the range of articles posted on a daily basis can drum up conversation around the issues facing the industry. That’s where the Lawn & Landscape Online Message Board once again becomes a valuable tool. Have some thoughts on the latest article on H-2B legislation? Post your comments on the Message Board. Attend an event that was posted in the news section? Tell Message Board participants what you thought. At the bottom of every Lawn & Landscape Online News item, article or online extra, look for a link that says “Comments…” or “Post your comments on this story on the Lawn & Landscape Message Board.” (You'll even see it at the bottom of this story.) Cliking the link will take you directly to a page where you can write your comments on the story and click “Post Message” to have those comments appear on the Message Board where other users can respond.

Chances are someone else in this dynamic community has thought the same thing, but hasn’t taken the chance to voice it. Or you may drum up some healthy debate from which all contributors can take something away. Get posting!
