DALLAS, Texas – The Associated Landscape Contractors of America (ALCA) recently honored Dallas-based Lambert Landscape Co. with three Grand Awards at the 35th Environmental Awards Program held in Charlotte, N.C.
Lambert Landscape Co., celebrating its 85th year of service in the southwest, has been honored by ALCA with 20 Grand awards in the last four years, including two prestigious “Best In Country” recognitions – the ALCA “Judges Awards.”
“ALCA sets the standard for the landscape industry in North America, and it is so very significant to have been singled out and to be recognized at this national level,” said Paul Fields, the new president of Lambert’s. “We have an outstanding, creative team, and we are indeed honored and proud to have been selected and recognized in such a prestigious way.”
Grand Awards were given for three residential projects accomplished by Lambert’s.

In the Residential Design/Build, Over $100,000 category, the firm was honored for its “Classically Inspired Garden,” in Highland Park, Texas.
In the Residential Design/Build Between $25,000-$100,0000 category, Lambert’s “Southern Courtyard Garden” in University Park, Texas, was honored.
In the Residential Landscape Maintenance category, the firm’s “Italian Renaissance Garden,” also in Highland Park, was recognized for its superb beauty, quality and highly detailed maintenance.

“The Grand Awards are designed to distinguish landscape professionals who execute innovation and true quality in their projects, and to recognize those clients who support such work,” said Kirsten Combs, a spokesperson for ALCA. "We want to honor the absolute best work, and we hope to bring to light the issue of environmental improvement through quality landscape design and development."
The 86-person company proudly continues a nearly century-old tradition of designing, constructing and maintaining fine gardens. The firm was founded in Shreveport, La., in 1919 by the Joe Lambert family, and opened the Dallas offices in the early 1930s.

"The Lamberts sensed that Dallas was a city coming of age, and they recognized the opportunity to introduce their classic, elegant design sensibility and horticultural expertise," Mr. Fields said.
Keeping its commitment to the firm’s 85-year legacy and wonderful heritage, Lambert’s was recently purchased by the senior management team comprised of Walter Dahlberg, Chairman; Paul Fields, President, and Daniel Morgan, CEO.
