WASHINGTON, D.C. – In response to the overwhelming demand for landscape architecture services across the United States and around the world, the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) has developed a new Web area featuring information on how to become a landscape architect.
|
|
The main career discovery Web page links to rich resources for students of all ages, educators, guidance counselors, parents and other interested parties to explore the profession of landscape architecture. A new, four-color brochure targeting middle and high school students is now available and downloadable from the web site at no charge in PDF format.
The brochure includes:
-
Information on what landscape architecture is, what landscape architects do and why they are in such high demand;
-
Personal testimonials from landscape architects in different types of practice and areas of the country;
-
Photos of award-winning landscape architecture projects;
-
How to become a landscape architect;
-
How much landscape architects earn – nearly $75,000 a year on average, but experienced firm principals can earn much more; and
-
A quick quiz to help students determine if landscape architecture is right for them.
For more information on the new site and the association, contact ASLA at 202/898-2444, or on the Web at www.asla.org.
