For those just starting a greenhouse, nursery, landscaping or lawn care business, and those who haven't been at it long, The Ohio State University South Centers is offering a helping hand.
"Business Skills Workshop for Beginning Landscape, Greenhouse and Nursery Professionals" will cover the nuts and bolts of starting your own green industry business.Ohio State faculty and staff will share tips on developing a business plan, seeking financing, marketing, common production problems, water quality issues, pesticide regulations and licensing, helpful resources and wise decision-making.
The sessions begin with registration at 9 a.m. Friday, March 2, in the large auditorium at the OSU South Centers, and will end at 3:15 p.m.
The fee is $25 and covers instruction, handout materials, refreshment and lunch breaks. Seating is limited, so sign up early.
